BOOK REVIEW: Spark (Web of Desire, #1) by Aleatha Romig
Spark by Aleatha Romig
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
What did I like?
After the Into the Light Series, I became a huge fan of Aleatha Romig. After I reading Into the Light and Away From The Dark, I decided to read more of Ms. Romig’s work. I chose Spark because the premise seemed mysterious enough for my tastes and it was an audiobook narrated by one of my favorite narrators, Noah Michael Levine. So I jumped on it.
One thing I really love about Aleatha Romig is that she can give you a lot of information with just a little dialogue or just a tiny piece of information. Just a sliver or a sentence gives you the characters’ backstory and the development of the situation in question. And it never takes away from the action.
On top of that, I really liked both of these main characters, Patrick and Maddie, and found myself on the edge of my seat as I rooted for them. It was an emotional and suspenseful ride that left me torn.
What I didn’t like?
There was nothing I didn’t like in this story.
Overall?
Spark is action-packed, but also has moments that make you slow down and feel. I’d highly recommend this read, whether you’re familiar with Aleatha Romig or not.
