What I liked?
Without giving anything away, I can honestly say I was drawn in from the very beginning. The backstories on the main character mainly drew me. I knew a lot happened prior to the opening of this work and it made me want to go back and find out more.
Also, there are a lot of elements to this book. There’s the struggle concerning good and evil of course, but then you’ve got pieces of ancient history with sort of a dystopia twist. I thought it was pretty cool.
What I didn’t like?
The matter of the characters backstory was something that I liked but it also felt like there was more that could have been here. I wanted the authors to go into that more.
Overall?
This is a fantasy that also makes you think and I’m all for anything that makes you think so I recommend it. It’s lit enough for me to give it a go. Maybe you’ll enjoy it too.
